Superbus, founded in 2002, was among Israel’s first private public transportation companies. Today, it operates about 10% of the country’s public transit, serving over 80 million passengers annually. Recognized for its high-quality service, it consistently earns top ratings from the Ministry of Transportation. Its main operations span three key areas: In Jerusalem, Superbus runs 450 buses, including nearly 200 articulated and 130 electric buses. In Haifa, it operates Israel’s only BRT system, the Metronit, with 120 advanced articulated buses, nearly half electric, transporting 20 million passengers yearly. In the north Valleys, Superbus serving cities like Afula, Tiberias, Yokneam, and Beit She’an for the past ten years.

Starting in December 2025, Superbus is expected to operate public transportation in the southern Gush Dan region, following its successful bid in a Ministry of Transportation tender. As a result, the company is projected to operate around 1,500 buses and employ approximately 2,500 workers.
