The Metronit is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system operating in the Haifa metropolitan area and the Krayot. It is a high-capacity bus system that runs on dedicated lanes, ensuring smooth and fast travel without delays caused by private traffic. The service began operating in August 2013. The Metronit is operated by Superbus, which won the tender to manage the system starting in 2021, replacing the previous operator, Dan North. The transit network consists of five lines, including two newly introduced by Superbus. The Metronit is recognized as one of the top-rated public transportation services in Israel.
